STAFF POLICY

IZMIR BAKIRÇAY UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES TEACHING STAFF STAFF STAFFING POLICY

Academic staff management is based on the realisation of the mission, vision and strategic goals of Izmir Bakırçay University and the Faculty of Health Sciences. In this context, it is aimed primarily to provide education, scientific research, application and professional development opportunities and to increase the quality of service provided to the society. In the determination of academic staff, it is carried out in accordance with the Higher Education Council (YÖK) Regulation on Promotion and Appointment to Academic Staff and Izmir Bakırçay University Directive on Promotion and Appointment to Academic Staff. In addition, the faculty staffing policy of our faculty is based on the following main principles:

1. Taking into account the academic staff's education and training, self-development and lifelong learning skills, teamwork ability and social contribution activities and practical experience in the field, equal opportunities are offered to qualified scientists based on merit, who have the competencies required by the task.

2. Staff distribution is made by taking into account the priority areas determined by YÖK, meeting the criteria score, years of work in the institution and performance evaluations.

3. The number of programmes within the faculty, the course load of academic staff in undergraduate and graduate programmes, the number of academic consultancy and graduate thesis consultancy at undergraduate level, student/faculty member ratios are taken into consideration.

4. Academic staff/student ratios within the faculty, Izmir Bakırçay University's research-oriented goals and YÖK's data monitoring and evaluation criteria are also taken into consideration in determining staffing.

Izmir Bakırçay University Faculty of Health Sciences Faculty Staffing Policy was approved by the decision of the Faculty Administrative Board on 24.04.2025 and meeting number 27.
